UK Female looking for platonic pen-pal
(F) Hello. It was my birthday yesterday..I was 60. My daughter informed me that if someone gives you a birthday badge you have to wear it "d'ems the rules". So I wore my badge. Everyone I saw wished me happy birthday, even the man in the fish and chip shop and the train guard. So although at first I was cringing with embarrassment, by the end of the day it felt quite uplifting.
I live on a narrowboat (42ft x 6ft 9) in the UK. At present I am just on the border of England and Wales. The border is 10ft from my boat. I move to a new location at least every 14 days.
There is a badger sett nearby and I have tried to film the badgers on my trail-cam, but so far I have filmed two cats, a barn owl and two foxes. No badgers. I realised after spotting one of the foxes with a rodent in its mouth that I had inadvertently set up a smorgasbord of rodents for the local predators by putting down food for the badgers.
Thats about as exciting as my life has been this week.

I would like to hear from people overseas. I'd really like to share letters with indigenous Americans, but that's not in any way essential. I am looking for a platonic penpal.
I would like real letters and postcards, sent fairly regularly. I'd like to develop genuine friendship. My handwriting has become somewhat scrawly since I hardly hand write anything these days. But hopefully that will improve, and won't be too off putting.
