For me it is any photo of my roaches when they groom their legs. Like they literally look like cats licking their balls it is so fucking stupid

I've noticed a pattern with reptile keepers I've known and seen, and it is the fact that many of them don't really like animals, even though they seem to be just as unpleased with people who are needlessly bitter about unconventional looking beings. I've noticed many of them are neglectful of the animals they keep as feeders, act disgusted by them and are borderline sadistic to them while playing it off as a joke. Like, no one is forcing you to keep an insectivore, the least you could do for the feeder is respect it and keep it in good conditions without making ugly faces or bragging how much they disgust you. I don't know if I'm right, and maybe I'm biased because my invertebrates were meant to be sold as feeders, but it rubs me in a really wrong way.

My fatass roach scared the shit out of me in the middle of the night. He is so fat he genuinely lifts up twigs as he is crawling about and those twigs banged so loudly on the glass I thought someone's coming for my ass through the window. Anyways here is him eating tangerine with fish flakes

Got this deathhead cockroach from a private breeder yesterday and boy is he fucked up. His antennaes are broken as shit, he is pretty small compared to the other death heads I have from the same breeder, and his wings are demolished. What could've led to this? Do they chew on their wings when stressed? Do they pick on each other? Why is he in such poor condition?? Was the breeder irresponsible?
