Uniquely HB gifts
I'm putting together a welcome gift basket for whanau visiting from overseas. I'm trying to write a list of uniquely Hawkes Bay items or treats. The basket will have usual NZ things like Whittaker's, pineapple lumps and all that but what delicious things are from Hawkes Bay?
Current ideas:
- tiger milk from Brave, wine from any of the wineries
- homegrown juices/boring oat milk
- silky oak chocolate
- birdwoods lollies
- arataki honey
- local seasonal fresh fruit & veg
- voucher from each major supermarket as they love checking out local supermarkets wherever they travel
What else is good?
edited: thank you so much Reddit! We have so many delicious options we'd forgotten about or didn't know about. The meth from Waipuk did sound divine but the weed from Maraenui is locally grown and organic so we're adding that instead.
