How is the Rayneo X3 PRO now (5 months in)?
I've been monitoring AI glasses with a display for some time now. None have combined all of the features quite like the X3 PROs, and even fewer with binocular waveguides, so naturally I've been paying closer attention to these glasses. However, I understand in practice, the standard, out of the box functionality doesn't always perform as one would want it, as demonstrated by this guy for example (he's done great work in this space).
I wanted to check in with the daily users since none of you seem to post that much about your experiences.
- How is the day-to-day experience with the standard functionalities (translation, navigation, AI Q&A, etc.)?
- How have you liked the updates coming directly from Rayneo?
- How has the third party support been? Are you motivated to sideload apps, or even develop your own? What have been the top 3 apps that you've sideloaded and/or created yourself?
- Which platform do you guys primarily go to to chat about these glasses? For example, is there any discord link to active communities that you can share? Even if it's primarily developers, please share if you are willing.
- Has anyone heard anything about Project e-SIM since the announcement at MWC in January? I'm particularly interested about the partnership Rayneo announced with Deutsche Telekom. They demoed their entrance into agentic AI using the X3 PROs as a demo platform. It's unclear to me if they will actually release a version of the glasses themselves that can hold an e-Sim, or if this was a one-off partnership where they needed some hardware to demo their plans for agentic AI.
