Every summer I run into the same problem. During the day, whenever I open any tap at home, whether it’s the shower, kitchen sink or bathroom basin, the water is extremely hot.

I have to let it run for quite a while before it becomes usable, which feels like such a waste of water.

I’m curious what everyone else is doing to deal with this.

I’d love to hear what’s worked for you, especially if you’ve found a solution that gives reasonably cool water straight away without having to waste litres of water every time you turn on the tap.
