Has anyone worked at Walmart Pharmacy if so what was it like and did you like it ? I feel like ive never seen anyone post about working at Walmarts Pharmacy and it's making me feel a little sus. I was wondering because there is a job opening at Walmart Pharmacy near me and was wanting to apply but i wanted to get some of advice. Thank you !
i just finished a pharmacy technician course about a month ago. i want to get into a pharmacy to get hands on practice before i take my PTCE. all the jobs that are hiring require you to be certified or to have 6 months experience. there is a walgreens near me that is hiring a pharmacy technician/pharmacy technician apprenticeship. is this worth doing or should i just avoid retail all together ? i just want to get my foot in the door and get some experience in but ive heard so many bad things about walgreens and cvs. any tips on what i should do or where i could work with no experience under my belt but a pharmacy technician course ?

what pharmacy calculations do you guys do the most often at your job ? like on a day to day basis for retail or hospital ? genuinely curious, i’m looking to apply to a job and want to practice on my math !
how important are the narrative questions on the job application. it says my responses arent required and i wont be scored on them but they encourage for us to do them. if i dont do them will it affect me ?

i recently applied for a pharmacy technician position at IHS (gs-3 position). the position was open from february 2 to april 30. i applied on april 26 and received the email saying they will email me updates about my application.
i also wanted to add that requirements for this job were either 6 months of experience or 2 years of education past high school, which i have my associates degree and i also just finished a pharmacy technician course. i just don’t have any experience working as a pharmacy technician or have never worked in a pharmacy.
people on here were saying that i would here something back after the application closes. well after the application closed on april 30, i got on the website to track my application and saw that they extended the deadline for the job to NOW may 30 ! i am now confused, have they are already looked at my application or if i now have to wait until may 30 to hear something back from them. i was also wondering if should i reach out to someone, if so who should i reach out to on the status of my application ? i just want to know if i am even being considered for the position or if i should even keep my hopes up on getting hired. anything helps !
