So I want to take my dog to the US. Since UAE is considered high rabies risk he has to arrive at a CDC facility airport. I’m trying to decide between IAD and JFK. My priority is quick CDC processing and I want to receive my dog same day. I will be planning trip during the week not over any holidays and both airports arrive in the motoring 8am to 9am. Has anyone had any experience with this? I have a relocation company for this and they said airports are good but I just wanted to check with others also

I'm also wondering many of the dogs I see travelling in cabin in the carrier are sometimes even bigger than by dog mine is a Havanese and I'm sure his head would pop out if he was standing in the carrier but I see the same for all dogs in carrier flying. Like they are sleeping or laying down none I think can stand with the top closed ? What do you'll think

My Havanese is 10kg and not really small enough atleast as per the measurements for United in cabin. I want to take him from IAD to Houston. Any suggestions
