Need help diagnosing this tick/tap in engine not too sure what it is…

Hi Guys just seeing if anyone out there has got another alternative fix for bump steer...

Seen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G11c__TueAA (summary is - cut 1/5 inch of inner tie rod and cut 1/5 inch on spl nc miata tie rod) a great fix, but idk if i'm ready to start chopping stuff just yet.
