Free Dump Day allows Sacramento residents drop off bulky junk, electronics and household hazardous waste June 6th, 2026 from 8:00 - 11:00 AM at Sacramento Recycling and Transfer Station. 8491 Fruitridge Road for free disposal. The entrance is on 84th Street and there will be signage posted to direct residents to the facility.
Items accepted include furniture, junk, electronics and household hazardous waste (HHW).
Materials that can be recycled will be diverted from the landfill where possible.
Dump Day is offered in partnership with Waste Management and is exclusive to City of Sacramento residents. Residents can confirm if they live within Sacramento City limits by checking their utility bill or street signs. City residential streets have green signs, while County signs are white.
To be able to dump their waste free of charge, participants must provide proof of residency, such as a utility bill (either paper or digital), or ID with an address within City limits. Addresses will be verified by staff at the gate. Non-City residents will be able to dump but will be charged a flat disposal fee of $77.
