I’m helping my parents research the costs of possibly getting a new double wide for their property - as of right now they are looking at Champion Homes and the rough estimate for the house, delivery and taxes is about $170,000 (4 bed, 2 bath). This does not include the set up of the home itself.

Overall the cost is quite a bit more than they were expecting, but the cost that really threw them off was the additional cost of blocking and tie downs for the double wide - the person they are working with said it generally costed around $10,000 which doesn’t include the underpinning. Is that the average cost of that? It seems expensive, but I have no idea about any of this stuff, so wanted to ask here!
