Indians are so freak. The younger generation is still okay, but many millennials are stuck in nostalgia, asking, "Why is Ravana shown this powerful?" He was shown as a badass, yes, but he was also a rap*st. Then they bring up things like, "Bali kept him under his shoulder for months," and so on. Dude, what was the alternative? The hero of the story is already insanely overpowered, killing 14 demons with a single arrow, then wiping out 14,000 demons within minutes without getting harmed, and not even a single drop of blood falls. It's already a one sided fight with the way Valmiki wrote it. Everyone already knows the ending. At least make the battle feel equal. Ravana's character building is necessary. Without it, the whole thing is just crap.
