Leaking TPO Roof

Hey Girls!

Our flat roof house has a TPO roof that is leaking. We have found the leaky seams in the membrane, and are missing membrane in one of our canales (yes, Margaret, that’s the right word for a Pueblo-style house in the Southwest).

My question is this: I found a company that makes this silicone seal that is applied to the leaky seams, then some “poly fleece” is laid down, then the silicone is painted over the fleece. Should I/could I do this myself? (The company’s name is Bergstromm Industries.)

A local reputable roofing company quoted me $3500 to fix the leaks, reseal all the seams, and install membrane on the canale.

Thoughts?

Windowless Classroom

I have a beautiful classroom. It’s painted beautifully and has a view of our school’s plaza. I have a back door that I love to prop open in good weather. Our principal has decided to scramble the entire campus, for various reasons that are all understandable, but this decision means that I have been assigned to an interior classroom with no windows.

I need some advice about making the room more hospitable and less soul crushing. I also need to have good light since we read books and write on paper and floor lamps are not going to give off enough light.

Open to good ideas!
