- Looking for a durable headset that will last me a good while (at least 5 years).

- Every headset I've owned has broken in a similar fashion (plastic piece cracked and broke right above the over-ear cup).

- Wired headsets preferred (since cheaper), but I might consider wireless if it seems good.

- I use them mostly for gaming and listening to music, often for long sessions at a time, so comfort is a plus, as well as good mic quality.

- Budget: around $100-150 CAD ($200 at the very most)

- Listening on PC.

I've been looking at the HyperX Cloud III but I haven't seen any reviews on longevity, though I've heard HyperX might be good for that.
(I've never owned a HyperX pair, so I'm basing that off of peer review.)
