Does anyone else feel like the weather brings back memories from a completely different version of yourself?

The monsoon started where I live today, and it instantly took me back to when I was around 16.I remember sitting by the window, watching the rain pour down, listening to the thunder, and just enjoying the moment. Life felt so simple back then. I didn't know much about the world, and maybe that innocence made everything feel a little more magical.

The rain still sounds the same today. The smell of the wet earth is the same. But I don't think I'm the same person anymore. It made me realize something: maybe the days haven't changed, maybe I have.

Looking back, I don't think any of those moments were ever wasted. Some experiences only reveal their value years later, when they become memories you wish you could visit again.

I guess it's a reminder to myself not to take life so seriously all the time. Slow down, enjoy the people around you, enjoy the little moments, because one day they'll quietly become the memories you miss the most.

**Does a season, a smell, or even the sound of rain ever take you back to a different version of yourself?**
