I just got my hands on the all new Salt X2 2000. It's my first sealed reel and most expensive reel I've ever owned. I really wanna baby this thing as much as I can so it last me a long time. Are there any tips you guys can offer on what to do for maintenance on the reel. Obviously I will be rinsing it off after every use but I wanna know if there is a certain reel oil to use or any kind of spray to use on it. The reel is an absolute beauty and I can't wait to try it for first time this Friday in the NJ surf. TIA

So I just got a brand new Diawa Saltist MQ 4000 and I freaking love it (not asking about reel opinions, I like it, maybe you don't). But one thing I did notice is when my hand or reel knob was wet my hand would slip off the knob since it's so smooth. I see that ppl use Gomexus handles to add a little grip since they have holes that help. But reviews on Gomexus handles are kinda not great. What u guys think about them? Is it worth getting for $35? Do they help? Are they reliable?

Long story short I got a Penn Authority for Xmas and it's a little much for the fishing I do. It's never been used. Only took out of box to look at it. Still no line added. Would really like to trade it for a Van Staal VR since they are same price range. Anyone know of a tackle store in Central-ish NJ that might do trade ins? I know this is reaching but I'd figure I'd ask. Been trying to get a VS for years now.
