I’m thinking of starting pokémon emerald this week and I want to know, will picking treecko seriously cripple me down the line? I don’t care for torchic at all and i don’t mind mudkip i guess but he’s not that cool nor is his final evolution, meanwhile i really like treecko and sceptile. That being said i’ve heard he kind of sucks in this game whereas mudkip is just easy mode. I really hate grinding out levels and stuff or mega optimizing my team to compensate for something like this and i’m not really a good player or anything, just kind of average. So will i be fine picking treecko or shpuld i just go for mudkip?
