Help me pick my specialty

MS3 here with strong interest in surgery. I just finished my IM rotation and realized that the hospitalist, and most IM specialist have a sweet schedule of 7 days on 7 off. I am wondering if this is possible to achieve in surgery/surgery subspecialties (cardiothoracic or vascular)? Can I work a 0.6 FTE and have somewhat of a decent schedule in which I don't completely hate my life?

Almost every surgeon I ever interacted with works 70k hours a week, has 3 divorces with one more pending, does not know the names of their children/dog, and has poor overall health. I have little interest in IM, but that 7 on 7 off schedule interests me.

Needing reassurance about research/career discernment

I am rising MS3 and I think I just figured out what I want to do. I think I want to do urology. I have no urology related research, or any good research to be honest. I have been trying to land research projects, but not very successful at so far. I have research, posters, and publication from undergrad. So far in med school I have one quality improvement, one paper, one poster, one failed attempt at a ground up project that data was delivered to. I am stressing out because I think it is too late for me to do a competitive field like urology. Is it realistic for me to change my interest this late in the game? I have maybe 1 year to go from zero to completed project, given how bad I have been struggling. I dont know if that would happen. Every med student I know has 37 publications and 12 papers they are cooking in their free time while simultaneously helping kids in africa and managing global crisis, oh and training for their 4 ultra long super extended marathon.
