The SP is my all time favorite console. I got my first one for my 4th birthday (the flame red AGS-001) and since then, the platform has always held a special place in my heart.
In high school I set myself the goal of getting as many colors of the SP as possible (North American releases only). It’s taken a while but this is my collection so far.
I am about to take my Extra exam and plan to reward myself with a decent radio. My first choice right now is a Yaesu FTX-1 Optima however, Yaesu does not have a public API so that I can create my own software. I actually work as a Software Engineer writing API interfaces for spectrum analyzers and transceivers like the SignalHound BB60 or the Ettus Research USRP so I’d like to be able to write some custom software for my new radio. I’m looking to spend under $2000. Is there anything in this budget that has a good API that I could use?
