What's one thing businesses do on social media that instantly makes you scroll away?

For me, it isn't discounts or giveaways anymore. If a brand consistently posts useful or entertaining content, I'm much more likely to stick around.

Whenever I'm about to buy something, I almost always end up looking for Reddit threads, YouTube comments, or real customer reviews before I trust what the company says.
It's made me wonder if businesses are putting too much money into ads and not enough into building trust.
Has anyone else noticed themselves shopping this way?
Sometimes I just want a brand to answer my question, show me the product, and move on. Not every company needs to act like my best friend. Am I in the minority here?
