I was looking for a tinier camera for travel that could give me a bit of a film look similar to some Fuji films. Ended up with this

Loving it so far! Got the cheaper version of the black mist filter on Amazon

Opening Celebration at the La Brea/ Wilshire D Line

Everyone was so excited, wearing purple, the Ride the D merch, local food for free. Everyone was excited, laughing, talking to each other. Made me very optimistic. Tons of people that have lived in the historic buildings in neighboring streets like Detroit and Cloverdale.

Hi guys

I’ve been looking for a camera for a while. My grail is the Ricoh GR ii, I love how pocketable it is, the film emulation, etc. but it might be a bit expensive for me. I want something with a bit of its own character, coming from a bunch of film cameras of various kinds, but obviously know the same can be done with Lightroom and RAWs. But I love the GR film look, and the Fuji film one.

Doesn’t have the the BEST quality ever, but something that makes it worth using over just an iPhone 15 Pro.

I also have an old Nikon D5200 from Costco, but looking for something tinier. Doesn’t need to be pocket sized, but small enough that I’m more likely to bring it around.

Keep in mind I also have old Minolta lenses I can use.

All in price would be around $600

From my research, here were some of my options:

  1. Buy a Sony NEX-R (or T), with a pancake lens, or maybe even use some of my vintage Minolta lenses since it seems easy to convert.

  2. Maybe buy a smaller lens for my D5200 but I still think it’s going to be too big.

  3. Sony Rx100 II

4: Fujijilm x-E2 (seems to have gotten popular and gone up in price)

  1. Olympus OM-D E-m10 Mark ii. Don’t know much about these though

  2. fujifilm xf10 - a bit pricy but could be persuaded

  3. canon G9 X Mark Ii - I love the look of these, don’t know much about them

  4. Save up for the Ricoh GR II

I will be traveling in October, mainly want it for that!

Thank you!
