38F UK – apparently making friends as an adult requires an application process 😂
I’m 38F from the UK and thought I’d give this a go. I’d really like to meet some new people for genuine friendship and actual conversation — the kind where you can talk about completely ridiculous things one minute and something genuinely interesting the next.
A little about me: I’m studying psychology and I’m one of those people who will happily disappear down a rabbit hole learning about why humans behave the way they do. I read a lot and I’m always open to recommendations.
I’m also a massive animal person and animals are a huge part of my life. I love learning about them, spending time with them and hearing about other people’s animals too, so animal lovers will definitely have plenty to talk to me about.
I like gardening, DIY/home projects, getting outside when I can, random interesting facts, dark/silly humour and conversations that actually go somewhere. I’m naturally quite curious and I love people who can introduce me to things I know absolutely nothing about.
I’m not particularly bothered whether we have identical interests. Sometimes it’s more interesting when you don’t. I think I’m mostly looking for people who are kind, funny, curious and capable of a conversation that consists of more than “hey, how are you?” repeated every 24 hours until one of us dies.
UK would be lovely, but I’m happy to talk to people elsewhere too. Similar-ish age would probably be easiest, but I’m not putting together a census.
