I have a silver iPod mini 2e case from a donor as I needed to replace the click wheel (torn ribbon!) I was thinking about polishing it up or doing something with it to freshen it up. I can’t see the fancy aftermarket cases available in the UK so I thought I’d have a play with the donor so if I mess it up I’ve still got my working one :) Any tips, tricks or examples of what you’ve done to yours?

I’ve upgraded my 2nd gen silver mini with an iFlash sd card adapter but when I’ve reassembled the click wheel is non responsive. I assume I got a bit heavy handed with the ribbon cable, it looks intact but I guess it doesn’t take much to damage it. I’ve tried eBay for a replacement but it seems my only option there would be to buy a whole iPod. Can anyone point me at a UK supplier of spares if such a thing exists? Many thanks
