Has anyone lived in Alewife while going to grad school at Harvard? I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Moving to Cambridge and looking for a 2 bedroom place near a red line stop starting in August. It’s 90 days away from August and I heard 90 days is a pretty standard notice requirement in Boston. Not seeing much on Zillow. Mostly just seeing stuff 9/1. Will more be available later in the month? What should I use in addition to Zillow for my search? So far all I see available for August are in the big luxury buildings. But that would price us out of the 2 bedroom and into a 1 bedroom. Plus most of those buildings are in Kendall and I heard Kendall is too sterile/boring and that construction will be plaguing the area for the next several years.
