I’ve complained plenty about things like dragapults current strength in this meta. Hey.. but honestly, truly looking at this meta right now. PULT isn’t the problem, it’s an issue but not THE problem. Look at the cards we’ve got since rotation… seriously I don’t expect one to one reprints of everything but we had SO many deck choices that were some level of competitively viable. We had plenty of cards to choose in our deck crafting, iono, research, carmine, Arven, hilda etc. Right now it’s lilie, maybe petrel, and some random supporter that didn’t even see play before rotation. We had plenty of one prize decks, decks that liked secret box, decks that liked trolley, decks that liked sparkling crystal, it was pretty open to users choice. Right now it really feels some decks have to use certain things, there’s few deck choices that can play and certain types that didn’t rotate just lost all of its legs. TPCI isn’t printing new archetypes, new items, supporters, new EX’s we can really use. Yeah we got special red card soon, like wow we waited a whole set for one MAIN playable card. Stuff like baxcallibur, amourouge, even hoot/noctowl, things decks can really turn into its own archetype or change how a deck is fundamentally played have not been coming out. At best we got starmie and froslass. In my opinion looking at the new megas, new cards, example toucannon and chandeulere, and the new electric cards it’s like Pokemon doesn’t want to add anything game changing so they make the cards all way under powered instead of possibly strong. It’s really annoying and even looking at mega greninja and the hype it has seen almost 0 play in Japan so far, not because it’s not cool but because it’s weak. Our meta problem is mostly due to Pokemon and their lack of printing good new cards we can actually make use of and build around. (IMO) please let my spelling errors slide I typed this fast lol.

Not going to do a whole rant about the meta but I will say, bolt was strong and beat pult, gardy was favored into pult and bolt, Grimm was favored into gardy and pult, joltic was good into grim and zard, I mean now it’s pult, or lose to pult, if you beat pult you lose to 80% of the other decks becusee your deck sucks. People who complained about the meta before rotation have to feel silly now because the meta isn’t even a meta. It’s kind of cringe, even after last years rotation for everyone new it was a hell of a lot more balanced and fun than this. More sets more cards is our only hope.
