Just say this movie!

Just saw Disclosure Day, and I must say, Spielberg hits again! I absolutely love the movie, had Goosebumps throughout the whole thing! I would like to know if anyone else has seen it here and their thoughts on it? And if you liked it more than the 2005 war of the worlds movie?

**The story of the Clymopods.** *Clymopodian Post #2*

*Clymopodian log: 2

The Clymopods' actually started off as the cannon invasion you see in the 2005 movie.

Back on their planet, Clymopodia, there's was no separate nations nor borders. The species loved as one and under the rule of the Elder and the Clymopodian council. The Clymopods' goal was to find other life-barring planets and colonize them so the could grow the Red Weed. The Red weed was their source of food, so expanding their growth of it was very important.

The first planet they attempted was Earth, and then the events of the 2005 movie ensues. They invaded, crushed the humans forces, and colonized most of the planet. Their plan was almost perfect, expect one thing they didn't have the knowledge to account for. Disease. Theses micro organisms that the humans have built an immunity to didn't exist on Clymopodia, resulting in their invasion force getting sick and dying or having the humans forces shooting them down concluding the invasion as a failure.

The Clymopods' acted quickly, sending scouting parties to quickly collect most of the fallen machines so the humans couldn't reverse the technology. They also, using their telepathical abilities, did a world wide memory wipe. Most humans completely lost their memory of the attack and went back to believeing that they were alone in the universe (well, most of them and the fallen Tripods that couldn't be recovered where considered alien crash sites and taken in top secret government facilities and was hiden from the public. There was a select few who would have dreams and visions of the invasion but were dismissed as mentally unstable and crazy.

But by doing this, the scouting parties brought the very thing that killed the invasion force to their home planet. This resulted in a global pandemic that, by the end, killed of a majority of the Clymopodian population. When they finally found how to stop and contain/control the diseases, it had already taken it's total, and their leading Elder ended up being killed by the microscopic killers.

This was catastrophic for the Cymopods. Usually, after the Elder passes, their offspring would end up taking his position, but the elder had yet to reproduce and there was no protocol or procedure for this situation because they never believe there would be a situation where this would happen, causing a struggle amongst the council for power. A few members of the council tried to take the leader position, but no one could settle on one, causing a civil war.

For the first time in Clymopodian history, the planet was split up and decided amongst each leader( for some reason I keep imagining three sides being identified with the colors red, blue, and yellow). The war lasted years with no end, millions suffered and lost their life to the conflict, until the arrival of a new comer.

Valdimar Grim, a formal Earth dweller who had been exposed to supernatural events and entities who changed him for life and made him immortal, accidentally teleported to Clymopodia in the middle of the conflict (Story of Valdimar Grim will be covered in later future post). Valdimar had fight his way through the two clashing sides, demonstrating his supernatural abilities and strengths. This caused caused both sides to temporarily pause and stop fighting. This is when a idea started to form: if they couldn't decide on one of their own to lead, what if someone of a different species did? After years of fighting, the council joined together for the first time since the start of the war an debated the idea of having Valdimar Grim to be the planets leader. After many meetings and debates, the council finally came to a conclusion: that Valdimar would be the new leader of the Clymopods!

Under the rule of Valdimar, the Clymopods changed dramatically. The concept of the Elder was thrown out and replaced by the a King and Queen style of ruling, to prevent the prior situation. Many new technologies and machines where created under King Grim's rule. All this changes created and new era for the Clymopods.

During the Clymopodian Civil War, many records were destroyed, including the location of earth. Meaning earth was lost to the Clymopods for many decades. That was until and Clymopodian Scout Flying Machine reporting that they found a planet that matched earth. It was then confirmed that it was indeed earth, and scans suggested that the humans, despite the few conspiracy theorist that joined together and the few Tripods left behind locked away in top secret government facilities, were still completely oblivious to the invasion.

King Grim and the Clymopodian leading council joined together to discuss the next course of action. The humans have fortunately not yet reversed their technology, but it was only a matter of time before they do and that posed a threat for the Clymopods. There was also the fact the humans were steadily destroying their planet, and if they reversed the technology of the Clymopodian Tripods? They would spread to other life sustaining planets after they've killed their own planet and begin the same devastation on others. Spreading like the diseases that almost wiped out the Clymopods before. One thing was certain, Earth was a threat that needed to be eradicated.

The king and the council agreed upon one course of action, and king Grim gave the order to gather up the Clymopodian forces, that they were invading Earth once more. And this time? They wouldn't fail.

(Second Invasion of Earth will be covered in later posts)

The birth of the Clymopods...

*Clymopodian Log: 1

Let me go back to the beginning...

I watched the war of the worlds when I was very young, so I really didn't remember it well, just bits and pieces.

But in the November in 2020, I was 13 at the time, I had found a cd of it and watched it from beginning to end. The whole time it was almost an nostalgia trip for me, but now I was old enough to make sense of it! I was very fascinated with the Tripods in the movie to the point I thought about it all night, just to wake up early that morning to watch it again and again. By the end of the next day, I had probably watched it 30 times, and that's when I knew... I had become obsessed! I later read the book and saw all the other adaptations of it but that's another story.

Soon, I start to roleplay with my friends with this sinario of invading Tripods and stared to add my own little twist. I always a huge white Tripod leading all of the invasion and that was the "Queen". But soon I imagined an even bigger Tripod that I'd red and was the "King". And that's when it started. After that, I started making more and more Different Tripods, made a name for the army and the planet, put one of my characters as king, made lore for it, and that's how it started.

The Clymopods... The beginning of an empire.

So here the thing. So far, I have almost three sketchbooks full of this war of the world fan based roleplay army I made back when I was in 7th grade and I'm still building on.

And I figured why not get this out here? So this is what this is. Some of this might seem cool to y'all, some of it might seem utterly stupid and leave you asking "why was this shit made?" (Reminder I made a lot of this stuff in my middle school years) So tell me what y'all think about this, because I would like to know if this stuff is any good.

I'll try to make a post about this at least weekly, and that's not set in stone. There will probably be some times where I won't post in a month cuz I'll be busy with other important stuff.

Thank you for reading this (and hopefully considering following) this, and welcome to: THE CLYMOPODS!

That night in the highway...

There's no escape from them.... They're everywhere.... There is no running away...

2019 BBC series Fighting Machine.

With a sudden crash, I looked out my window. People ran left and right, and rising out from behind the pine tree covered hill, it rose.

With thundering roar that shook the very fider of my being, it strode over my town. Each step it took rattled the foundation of the house. In a blinding flash, fire spread.

The martains have come....
