Some tough talk girls

I saw angry frustrated posts about this subreddit, mainly something like:

- everybody is here except lesbians

- only posts from men stay

- new accounts are men pretending to be lesbians

- this place is filled with men

I want to provide my insight as a lesbian woman myself, so I'm only making this post because I care:

First, when you make a post saying that all kinds of people are here BUT lesbians, you are invalidating your existence too, because you are here too, the logic of your statement implies you yourself are also not a lesbian. So pay attention to the logic!

Second, same when you say only posts from men stay, it also logically follows that your exact post is from a man too simply because it stayed.

Third, and this is the one that pisses me off because by that logic it means only men are allowed to make new accounts and women magically can't? That is not logical nor realistic. It is an assumption not an objective reality, the truth is, anybody can make a new account or be entirely new to an online space, regardless of their gender/Sex. The only way you can truly know is by knowing them personally.

And finally, yes, I notice there are men here, and I don't agree with them being here, because the subreddit is made for lesbian and queer women (according to the description). so it should only be girls talking and posting here, but if you're active/present in here most of the time, your easiest option would be to simply downvote and give ZERO attention to posts coming obviously from males, I think a post disappears from the feed when it has negative votes (I'm not sure).

And there are other options, if the mods don't intervene and you really don't like it here, you can always make another subreddit with strict rules and a private invitation or something. And be patient, subreddits take time and dedication to grow, just keep being the wonderful human woman that you are 💝 have a good night!
