Issues with travel
Hi everyone,
I’m travelling with a friend using 2 second-class Interrail passes and we’re trying to get from Amsterdam to Montpellier on 9 July.
The problem is that every route involving Eurostar says either “No price results were found” or that there are limited pass-holder seats, and I can’t reserve them. On the Eurostar website it also seems like the pass-holder reservations are sold out.
We must arrive in Montpellier on 9 July, but we’re flexible with departure time and are happy to take a longer route if necessary.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
Were you able to find another route using your Interrail pass?
Did the NS International desk at Amsterdam Centraal help you find reservations that weren’t available online?
Would you recommend avoiding Eurostar completely and going via Brussels/Lille, or another route?
If you had to buy one regular ticket, which section was the cheapest to pay for?h
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I’m getting quite stressed because this is my first Interrail trip and I’m worried we won’t make it.
