Lower Blepharoplasty Pricing

I’m helping my boyfriend narrow down the clinics for his lower bleph and wanted to see if others have input on pricing as I feel like we are getting quoted higher when using a concierge service.
Right now we are looking at ROI and Sketch. We were quoted by the concierge that Sketch would be ₩4,330,000–₩5,110,000 KRW
Approximately US$2,885–3,405 for lower bleph.

Threads in Korea vs threads in USA

So I originally was considering a mini lift in Korea, but after research, the results would be too subtle for the intensity of surgery so I'm going to wait until I'm ready for a full facelift. In the meantime, my nasal labial folds, some fat around the corners of my mouth bother me, and I'm looking into something other than the usual Ultherapy, Xerf, etc (which I do, once a year). I've alsways heard bad things about Threads in the US, but when speaking to my concierge, they say that threads is different in Korea. He said to do threads not by a skin clinic, but by a plastic surgeon. And they last many years. This is what the concierge explained:

Thread lifts got a bad reputation in the U.S. because many doctors were not properly trained when they were first introduced. She says some early threads were removed from the market by the FDA, and by the time newer versions were approved, many American doctors had stopped learning the technique.

In Korea, she claims thread lifting remained common, so Korean doctors continued developing more experience with it. She says there are two very different kinds of thread treatments

1. Basic threads done at skincare clinics

  • Less expensive
  • Use smaller or lighter threads
  • Produce only a subtle lift
  • Results may last a few months, perhaps up to six months
  • More likely to be disappointing

2. “Surgical” thread lifting done by a plastic surgeon or specialist

  • Uses larger, stronger lifting threads, often combined with many smaller threads
  • Performed under anesthesia or sedation
  • Costs considerably more
  • Creates a more noticeable lift
  • The threads dissolve, but she believes the collagen and internal support created around them can help maintain the result

Anyone have experience getting the surgical thread lifting in Korea? Would love to know what you think, and if you have any reccos. Thank you!

Best doctor for lower bleph?

Going to Korea in October and currently considering the following clinics for a lower bleph with fat grafting: VN Clinic, Wink, Roi and Sketch. Has anyone had experience with any of these clinics or have one to recommend? Any tips greatly appreciated!
