State of the collection
This morning I pulled out a reproduction Waterman’s Ideal 23 fountain pen tray I got off eBay and decided to actually take a look at every single one of my pens next to each other. Since I got back into the hobby three years ago I’ve always had multiple pens inked at a time and haven’t had a chance to see my growing collection all together.
My very first fountain pen was a royal blue Lamy AL-Star I lost during a move about five years ago. Since then I purchased a Lamy Studio in Imperial Blue as a gateway back into the hobby. I recently gave that one away to a coworker to penable them and as a way to help thin the collection a bit.
I, uh, do have one pen on the way right now (Opus 88 Harmony Cloud Dancer), but that’s only so it can house a modified stacked flex nib I purchased from Shak MD.
Overall, I’m happy with my collection. I definitely have grail pens (Yard-o-led—model undecided—and Waterman Edson, I’m eyeing you from afar), but I’m in no hurry to acquire those, especially since neither has a flex nib.
From left to right the pens are listed below:

Esterbrook Estie in Winter White (button filler)
