I recently was asked what is chi and the best I could come up with was "like a sixth sense regarding 'feeling' your body 's bioelectricity and how to direct the energy" I would think to describe it similar to a sense of balance where you can 'feel' how you're oriented.

I don't think it's 100% right.

How would y'all explain or describe chi?
