exp Realty: what's the scam?
I'm selling my house, and an agent sent me this. 3 things scream scam to me:
- The Cash Offer being less than the 1st payment of the Cash+ Offer. Why would anyone take the Cash Offer, if they're willing to immediately pay you more when selecting an option with a longer term contract? As well as it's only 3/4 of the home value. So clearly not an option they intend anyone to accept. If it were, it would be somewhere between the 1st & Total payout of the other options.
- The sheet with these values didn't include any other details: no contract, no explanation of the fees, etc. Company website also lacks this information.
- Supposedly a large agency, but the internet is very lacking on customer reviews. Just lots of employee reviews that make it sound like MLM bs.
- Edit: #4 reason: $662k is WAY over the top end of the Zillow & Redfin estimates.
So, I assume scam. But, I'm wondering if anyone has details on what the scam actually is once you accept the Cash+ Offer?
