Bonus Singer 15k.
Attended a local auction without leaving the couch. Had my eye on a 70s New Home machine which was pictured as the lot number.
The description of lot said New home/ singer, won lot for £16.
When we went to pick it up turned out it was 2 machines, the singer was a 15k built in Clydebank in 1920, with Shinx decals.
It's gorgeous, but im unsure what to do with it. It's running i plugged it in and after checking the light worked it started running. Sounded smooth but obviously the bakelite pedal needs fixing.
After speaking to repair guy i don't think he wants to fix the pedal, he said new motor or make it a decorative piece.
Would love to hear what the reddit experts think is best, either a new motor or back to a hand crank?
