We know that in terms of strength and speed, the Upgraded Original Vampires surpass the Original Hybrid, but what about their senses?

There is a moment while Lucien is fighting Klaus in the abandoned house where he tells Klaus he is superior to him in every way.

But Klaus possesses a werewolf's heightened senses, amplified by the original level vampirism.

Wouldn't that place him above any other species in terms of sensory perception? What do you think?
