Passmasters or Achievable as supplement?

Trying to decide if I should add PassMasters or Achievable as a supplement to Kaplan for studying for my 2nd attempt on November 4th. I failed with a 70% on September 14th. I haven't seen much mentioned about PassMasters on here so I was curious if anyone has used them with success on the exam?

Exam Monday - Need Advice!

I had a bit of a rushed timeline for taking the 7. I finally finished the book today (used Kaplan) and averaged 75% on their unit exams so far. I need to spend a good chunk of the day tomorrow covering Options again because I moved on to knock out the entire book but planned to dedicate at least half a day on that. I haven't taken a practice exam yet, so I have 4-5 simulated exams through Kaplan as well as their Mastery exam.

What do you guys think is the best plan of action for the next 4 days? Friday/Saturday/Sunday will be devoted to practice exams. Trying to figure out if I should just plan to do 2-3 each day or if that's overkill. Maybe it's better to do two each day (for a total of 6) and really focus on reviewing my missed questions.

Also - what other exams do you all recommend? For the SIE, I did the Kaplan exams, one of the SIE for Dummies (although that one was honestly a motivation killer because I did terribly on that one), the one from FINRA's website and one from the Brian/TestGeek's SIE course. I'm trying to find a few that aren't necessarily Kaplan that way I'm not getting too comfortable with their wording. Is there one that people have taken that they felt was close to the real thing as far as verbiage goes?

Thanks in advance!

Ken's Options Course

People have referenced purchasing Ken's option course in prep for the 7. Can someone share the link to purchase that please? I couldn't find it on YT (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place) and I'm currently on the Options unit in my exam prep. Thanks!

Passed!

So happy to report that I passed today! Big shoutout to everyone in this forum - it was so helpful to have this community. Between resources mentioned here and just knowing that we’re in this together was so helpful for me in the days leading up to the exam. Next stop: 7!

test tomorrow - looking for advice!

I take my exam tomorrow at 10:45am. I've read the book (used Kaplan), and my practice exams are as follows: 79%, 79%, 74%, 80%, 75% (Kaplan practice exams), 71% Test Geek, 77% FINRA, and 73% on the Kaplan mastery exam. I'm currently reviewing the incorrect ones from the mastery exam because I took that one this morning. My plan is to review most of today but I was potentially thinking about taking the Achievable free one as one more practice/exposure to different wording. I also still have a couple more practice exams available on Kaplan. I also used a PTO day today to lock in studying in a quiet/focused environment.

What would be my best strategy for the rest of the day/heading into tomorrow morning? I don't want to test tomorrow at all - my goal is to just listen to the recommended videos tomorrow morning after I drop my daughter off at camp. I'm taking the exam at home so I will have a couple of hours of solitude leading into the 10:45am exam.

Feeling quietly confident after my score on the FINRA one yesterday but want to just make sure I'm locking it in. There aren't one or two areas that I seem to consistently miss on anymore but rather just sporadic things here and there so it's hard to pin down just spending time on a certain area. I want to make sure I'm using the rest of my time wisely heading into tomorrow morning.

Taking the SIE Remotely Thursday - Question for those who've taken it online!

This is going to sound random and I was going to email Prometric but I wanted to check in here first with those who've taken it remotely. A couple of questions -

  1. I'm planning on taking it in my bedroom which has a half bath attached. Is that allowed? Or does it have to be a room without any bathrooms or additional entry. The "walled room" language confused me and I wanted to make sure.

  2. Did anyone take it on a laptop? Did you just end up plugging in an external webcam on the laptop for the exam so that they can do the look around the room, etc.?

For those who recently passed! Question Style on exam

I've heard on several YT videos and read that there aren't as many of the "A. I & II B. I & IV, etc." style questions on the SIE anymore. Can anyone who's recently passed attest to this?

Moving up my exam online

Does anyone know if it's possible to reschedule their exam date to move it up? I have mine scheduled online for the 30th, but was thinking of moving it to the 27th after I finish up my practice exams. What's the process for that? I also had some other questions about the specs of the room you're in when taking the test online.

Practice Exams

I'm about to finish up the SIE course through Kaplan and wanted to explore some other practice exams in addition the ones offered through Kaplan and the one on FINRA's website to expose myself to different verbiage I might see on the real exam that I take in a week. Advice on the best ones to take? I remember seeing mentions of the one through Achievable. I also have the SIE for Dummies book and I believe there are practice exams through that, too. Trying to cover all of my bases

Edited to add: at one point should I take the FINRA one? Before the Kaplan and other exams or after? I am curious to see how different the wording is on that one but I don't know if it's wise to jump right into that one before doing one of the Kaplan ones first since that's the system I'm using. Thanks in advance for any advice!!!
