I have 10k pearls and I’m too lazy to grind another for another 10k so should I buy sharkangel or undersharker first?

I just bought the cora pet for the first time ever from the anniversary shop. I played some matches with it and noticed how there are not any corals for me to heal to upgrade Cora like how it stated in the pet’s description and vids I saw on yt. Did the pet get changed or something?
