Depression, the ostomy version

Throughout my time with my dear friend Chuckles (my stoma's name), we have had some misadventures. I have always used humor to reckon with my struggles.

I started to notice a change in myself two months ago. I was tired. I have a bad hernia. I have been dealing with other health matters that have hindered me from doing a reversal.

Sometimes, I just feel so tired of living like this. It isn't just the ostomy. It's the behemoth of health issues in one big package. I just want some calm for awhile. Even a few weeks of having things be easier would feel like a dream.

I'm hitting one of those humps again. I don't know how much longer I can live like this.

Please note I don't really want advice. I just wanted to vent. I plan to go to therapy again when I am able financially but that time is not now.

Side hustle ideas for someone stuck at home

So, I will add some backstory here. I have chronic health issues. My rent is going up. I live in a small studio apartment and I don't have the means to move somewhere cheaper. If I were to go on disability, which no doubt I could, it would cut my income even with a voucher. That's the why.

I am creative and good at drawing. I already do commission art and I do have some following, but even after moving to IG and some other promotional methods, its still a crowded space.

Does anyone have any side hustle ideas for someone stuck at home?

I have a lot of people skills. My ability to relate, counsel and make people feel comfortable is one of my super powers. I have a regular day job now. I dont expect a side hustle to be passive. I know I will need to work more. But my regular job doesn't have over time so I'm really looking for anything to supplement. I'm willing to put in the hours

The Reversal

Once I get the okay on my other health issues, I'm going to do it.

For two years, I have hummed and haa-ed over whether I would. But.. this damn hernia is annoying and I want to move on lol

Hello there. I thought it would be a fun discussion. What is your favorite product that you use that was not created for ostomy use.

For me, I'll say disposable shower caps. When we get bad rain, or if I'm showering, Chuckles (my stoma) puts on a little rain coat.
