Wedding dress thoughts
I found this beautiful dress on (link redacted per mod). It seems like maybe a dupe for a different dress. But I'm super apprehensive of purchasing it on E. I've been checking out the shop and can't verify for certain if they're legit. I've even messaged the seller but it's only been 12 hrs (no response).. Soooo I've been thinking of alternatives. I'm also on a very tight budget and would like to keep things under $300... Possibly $400.
I was thinking I may be able to find a tulle, strapless gown at Goodwill and make a halter lace overlay. I also want to try and achieve the cascading lace down the dress. I've been looking at where I could possibly source the lace material.
This would be ambitious as I have very rudimentary sewing skills and dress knowledge 😅 but when you don't have the $$ gotta make it work.
Does anyone have any tips or advice before I start this process? I've been watching a few videos, reading a few blogs. I'm just looking to soak up any help I can get. Anything from the best materials to achieve this, the best method, good places to find lace, ANYTHING!
