Is it illegal for a company to pay you less than your set wage as punishment?

Is it illegal for a company to pay you less than your set wage as punishment?

The director of the company i work for sent out this mass email today. Is it illegal for them to do what is stated? Not that I plan on no call no showing, but on average i work about 120 hours per 2 week pay period so if I was ever in the position mentioned, only paying me minimum wage for those hours would be the difference of hundreds of dollars.

Edit: this is in mississippi

I am 99% sure they are referring to the hours already worked that pay period, not the hours after the no call/no show since this company will absolutely fire you the same day

Yes this company sucks and there is a very high turnover rate

I already was planning on quiting in a couple months when I join the navy. Probably not gonna give a 2 week notice. The last time I gave notice to an employer they fired me the next day, and I already dont like or trust this company so I dont care what kind of position it puts them in

They definitely are not referring to pto or sick time since the company does not offer it and there is no accrual rate

Im going to report them

As the title states i am asking if a drunk driver who has pulled into their driveway can still be investigated. I reported an obviously drunk driver tonight who i followed to their house. The woman driving got out a couple times at the end of the driveway before pulling in to look around and was noticeably stumbling. After a few minutes she pulled into the driveway. She never turned the car off or got out. The dispatcher i was speaking to said because shes not driving now, there is nothing they could do and to just leave. Is it true that the cops could have done nothing at this point or was the dispatcher in the wrong? This woman was a danger to everyone on the road and its pretty frustrating that she was able just to go on with her night like she didnt almost cause a few accidents in the 5 miles I was behind her.
