Is it worth it to live in res (yrh)?

For context: I just got an offer for Brock commons, and is hesitant to accept it. The commute for me to class is around 45min (bus ride alone) but after a year of commuting I honestly do not mind it very much. I have been saving up and I will be working during the term so rent is not a big problem here.

My question is:
are there any benefits (eg: social life, community…) for living on campus 😭?

I had a blast living in res during first year, and made a lot of friends. I was significantly more engaged socially (in clubs, volunteering…) compared to this year where I had to commute everyday. However, idk if that first year experience can be replicated in yrh, since I know ppl are quite closed off…
Should I save up and give up on housing or should I accept the offer?

Any advice is appreciated 😔🙏
