I hadn't listened to this album in a while, and so I gave it a listen a couple weeks ago and I forgot just how damn GOOD it is! I've never really understood the hate towards this album (well, not necessarily hate but I consistently see it at the bottom of rankings), as I really like its raw, heaviness and it has some great lyrics on it. It's really the heaviest Rush had gotten in about 10 years. I think Clockwork Angels takes everything this album does well and does it even better, but Vapor Trails is still an extremely solid album.

I remember listening to the original mix and enjoying it even more than the remix, but that must've been 5+ years ago, and I don't have a CD of the original so I'm not sure if some of my rankings would change on there.
