Is eno still as good quality as it was?

I bought a full hammock camping rig from eno back in 2014, the hammock itself was a powerhouse. Took a tree limb once and it was fine magically.

Well It finally ripped on me last summer, probably from leaving it out in the elements too many weeks on end. My own fault. Oh well.

Anyways are they still as good as they used to be? Id totally buy another if i knew it could take as much abuse as the last one i had

Chain Sinnet variation?

I was playing with an idea i had for a chain sinnet variation where you start with a bite and wrap each loop around a post. The idea was to have a quick release hiking staff wrap. It works

Anyone know what this knot is called

I wanna try to crystalize a stick.

Has anybody here ever grown copper acetate crystals on a stick the size of a walking cane?

I have some copper acetate i made at home from vinegar and hydrogen peroxide and copper wire that id let sit in a glass bottle. I was using it to stain a walking stick and realized i could grow crystals on it instead of staining it.

Was thinking copper acetate on the bottom and copper calcium acetate on the top for a 2 tone fade

Would this be a difficult thing?

obviously id need a lot of copper acetate to soak the whole stick, Was hoping for like a rock candy level thickness around the whole stick and maybe id soak the branched end by itself for longer to get a larger crystal formation

Itd be a wall mounted showpiece after a clear coat if i could manage to make it

Ive got a gorgeous oleander cane from when i used to do landscaping. It has been curing in my basement thru several moves for years now and im finally interested in working it into a useable walking cane.

Buuuut.... i do not know how safe it is to work with this wood. I little research and it apparently remains toxic when dry and inhaled fibers or even smoke can cause poisoning which could be fatal.

So im just curious what precautions anyone here has ever taken if theyve ever worked with oleander
