The suggesting shift points in the manual is a joke, and not an overly funny one, so about when do you actually shift most of the time?
I personally find my self shifting around 5K most of the time but I am pretty new so unsure if I am doing that right, or am I leaving a lot of power on the table?
The other day I was driving home on my new to me 05 KLR, and got some fueling problems, it would stop running while driving down the highway, throttle stopped effecting speed and RPMs.
I found adding more choke helped for a moment, but really needed to stop, wait a moment and start again, I flipped the reserve and didnt feel a detent or anything, when I finally got to a gas station I found I had about .8 of a gallon left, should the petcock click into reserve? or would this be some other issue?
