It should be criminal to require a 90 min test to even be considered for an interview

I totally get a test once HR has narrowed down candidates but it’s frustrating that my application has only been screened and approved- still far off from consideration but I now need to commit 90 mins to take an exam.

Please share the Best BBQ in Portland

Obsessed with BBQ and haven't found a spot that compares to some good ol' Texas BBQ. Any suggestions for places in PDX I should try? Xoxo

Why did beef go from tasting good to tasting like tonsil stones?

We usually eat ground beef a couple of times a week. A week ago, I made smash burgers for my husband on Father’s Day. When I went to take a bite, it tasted rancid, even though my husband and kid said it tasted really good- I was convinced it was bad and made everyone throw their burgers away because I was sure it was spoiled. Fast forward to today, I returned the ground beef and bought a new roll from a different store- same exact taste- tonsil stone. Anyone else? I haven't been sick (when I got covid, coke tasted like dirt)

Not respecting our decision

I've been watching the neighbor kid for a couple of years. He's 3 years older than my daughter, and over the last couple of times, it became apparent that they weren't well-suited as playmates anymore. The biggest issue I had with him was he would constantly argue with me anytime I would set any boundary, he needed constant reminding to keep his hands to himself (forcefully grabbing my daughter, picking her up, bear hugging her), tried to steal her toy and hid it in his shirt, would yell at her and tell her she's not allowed to play with *her* toy because he was playing with it, took a pool toy and tried to push her head under the water at the pool, etc. I'm not saying these are super abnormal or absurd behaviors, but they also didn't feel like a great example to our daughter. I communicated that to his grandma (who he lives with) that we would be taking a break at this point (I wasn't being paid or anything). The last couple of days, he has been playing very loudly right outside our daughter’s window (never did that before any of this), and today he and his grandma came by and rang our doorbell over and over until I had my husband go answer it. We heard the grandma in our doorbell video telling him to keep ringing it. When my husband answered the door he asked to play even though we very clearly communicated to the grandma that we would not be having any more playdates moving forward, and I explained all the reasons in the text. How do I handle this more cordially? Ignore it? Would love to not have things be awkward, but that's probably too late, huh?

Help me- is this a good text for my aunt?

My aunt found out she had cancer last year. It was at stage 1 and was treatable with just surgery. We live in the US, but she started working with doctors in Mexico who told her that if she cut out sugar and only ate organic, she could heal it naturally alongside these random supplements and stem-cell treatments. Her cancer is now at stage 4 and not looking good. She is now trying to go to Canada to treat it naturally after a bunch of natural doctors turned her away. My family is enabling it, I feel like I need to say something. Has anyone else had a similar experience? What can I do to help her reconsider?
