Guys, I’m putting yuri into my Video game about killing Nazis, any advice?

For some context, I’m a really big Castlevania fan and have been working on a game more or less inspired by it.

The game’s plot is that Nazis are trying to revive Dracula as a last ditch attempt to win WW2 and you play as the granddaughter of Quincey Morris: Annette, who must stop it.

One of Annette’s companions, is this Super religious church girl who is basically “trying to pray the gay away” from herself and I was planning on giving her a mini character arc around finding herself.

Is there any way that I, as a straight man can write this without it coming across as weird or fetishizing?
