I’m going camping this weekend and it’s supposed to rain a fair amount of the time.

I have a new Stout canvas bell tent that I plan to use and haven’t had a chance to season it yet. The whole week leading up to this trip has been wet and dreary, so I haven’t been able to season it ahead of time since it wouldn’t have a chance to dry out in the sun in between (and I don’t want to commit the cardinal sin of packing a canvas tent away wet).

How much trouble am I going to be in with rain and an unseasoned tent?

I’ve practiced setting the tent up before, so I know it has no obvious defects, but I had to pack it back up after a couple hours so didn’t want to season it then.
