Need a refresher, what book do I start with

Okay so the new book just dropped on audible and im now caught up on all my other series. But it's been almost a year since I listened to TBATE I can't remember everything that happens. So i need a refresher but I do not have the patience to listen through this whole series again. What are your recommendations as to where I should pick up the series to get myself back in the right head space for this new book?

I remember (spoilers) that >!at a certain point he goes off to some other content and explores a labyrinth !<i really liked that part what book does all that start in?

I drew a bird

I just got a tablet and I have been playing with the drawings apps out there. I am proud of the shading, it's better then I have ever done. Let me know how i did and what I can do to improve.

So yesterdays drawing got some really good reception. THANK YOU to everyone that responded. And the general consensus is that I need to work on blocking, breaking up the big shapes into smaller shapes and rendering where I can. I will have to look up some tutorials to really get a feel for it but I happened to be in my students art class again today so I thought id try to do my best to implement what i was told.

I took more pictures of what I believe you all call the blocking process. And if you guys can tell me if I broke it into enough small piece that would be great. I tried to think of it as a 3d shape instead of a 2D one and I think that helped at least i think it helped with the shading. Any further feed back or even just the same stuff as I was told yesterday would be great.

Oh one thing I know I did wrong was the eyes are too squinty it makes it look mean while the reference photo looks cute.

This is literally the second thing that ive drawn and i just don't have the words or skills to identify whats wrong with this drawing. It feels like the head is just floating there and i have determined that i need to add some details and shading that has helped but im still looking for some advice.

The first pic is what made me feel kt was off and the second pic is after i tried to fix it with some details.

My school and district repeat the same montra to all my questions, "make sure you use the Three Step Prompts", the whole you do I do we do. And for many situations that works. Kids not going where they're supposed to, kids confused about what ti do on their work, kids needing just a little correction on their behaviors. It definitely works best with kids who want to learn and want to so what is write, or kids that care about not doing wrong at least. But their are just times when it doesn't work.

The two most prominent examples are when a kid just refuses to so the school work, and when a child wants the attention they get from doing something their not supposed to do. Ill make a separate inquiry post about the kids who want attention by doing something bad but for now my main concern right now is how do I approach the kids who just don't want to work.

Their are two kids who refuse to do any work, its probably not the best way to put it but they just dont respect my authority as to when its time to do school work. That is to say they listen to me with other things but they just wont do school work. I instruct them on what to do (you do), i then point at what they want to do or I go so far as to write out what they are supposed to do with highlighter and they just trace over it (I do) and then at that point you are supposed to do hand over hand but they fight me on it. Like i said they just don't want to do the work and physically overpowering a 5th grader to write their name just doesn't feel right and it NEVER works. Ice asked and have been told by the faculty that im doing it right but if its not working then i cant see how I'm doing it right. To clarify it does work with one other kid but 9 times out of ten he has already done what he was supposed to on the second promoting. But with the two kids that refuses to work it never has been useful doing any of the printings and yet its all im given as a tool to use in this situation.

So this is my question, am I doing something wrong or is their some way to get them to work that doesn't involve physically over powering them or raising my voice cause we all know i cant do that?
