Test and Tag Equipment Query

Hi Folks,

Sparky for 25 years, but have not had testing and tagging as part of my business for a long time.

Recently had a client ask if I could do their premises on a 6 month basis, with some of this equipment ranging from standard IEC leads, to stage lighting, with a fair chunk of work to follow every 6 months on the tagging front.

Am I able to get some feedback regarding the below?:

* Class II Appliances - Do you still use the 'mesh' method for insulation testing when unable to find an earth? AS/NZS 3760 states it to be the case, but I can't see much online with test and tag machine providers on the machines they sell, versus this particular accessory.

* Do Test/Tag machines still come with it?

* If not, what alternative process do people use?

* Which Test/Tag machines do you use? I'd be looking for something that is as automated as it can be for under a few thousand (if that's realistic) that can upload database/spreadsheet results to a PC so as to minimise writing hundreds of labels.

My thanks in advance guys/gals.

Body Corporate/Caretaker possible Conflict of Interest

Good Afternoon folks,

I'm reaching out to see if anyone might be able to assist (or at the very least point me in the right direction).

I'm a unit owner in an inner city complex in Brisbane, and am looking to sell. I have previously sent off to the Body Corporate a request to put up a 'For Sale' sign, giving dimensions, and even locations that would be preferable. It has taken over a month to get an approval, despite multiple prompts from myself.

Where my problem is, is that the person who has the 'Caretaker Rights' and decides where this sign can go, also has their own real estate business and For Sale signs up on the property 24/7 (regardless of whether any units are up for sale at the time).

This individual has set an area for me to place my sign, that is so far away from anything, and virtually on the property boundary, that it will not get much in the way of attention at all.

From my perspective, this is a serious conflict of interest, and the body corporate is passing the buck despite the blatant conflict.

Would there be any options to take this further beyond the Body Corporate? I can't trust that they are acting in good faith given what I have experienced with them.
