Go or Java

Long story short, I’m about to architect a backend for an application concept of mine and I want to work with a language that’s new to me.

I’m going to probably go for a fully micro-service approach, and I know Go has performance benefits since it’s so light weight, but I’d appreciate some input from people more knowledgeable and weathered in the field than I am.

Undergrad Admissions

Long story short, I’m going to take & wrap-up the ALB undergrad/admissions courses (Expo-15, Expo-25 & Math E-3) in time to submit my application during the Spring ‘27 term. I’m not worried about the courses, as naive as that may sound (which I do acknowledge), but I can’t help worrying myself about taking the courses, passing them, even with As, but then getting rejected.

I just want to make sure I’ve got this right - if I pass the three classes (pass as in pass the required grade minimum of a B), and meet the criteria of being a US citizen, not holding a bachelors degree, having my high school diploma, and having been out of high school for over 5 years, I would be accepted?

I also want to preface, I am not, by any means, saying that HES is easy or a simple checklist of requirements. I have tremendous respect for the HES community, students (present & prior), and faculty. Just the opportunity to apply is an honor, and regardless of my admissions outcome, the experience itself will be for the better.

Thanks in advance!
