Hallucinating injury

Last spring I strained my soleus 2 weeks out from my HM. I put on my big girl pants, took a couple weeks off running (kept cardio up with cycling), and got back to running. I’m targeting an October marathon and feeling great - workouts have felt good, I’ve felt strong…all good. Except…the last two weeks I’ve gotten so nervous about getting injured.

The slightest abnormal feeling in one of my legs and I’m like shittttt. I think so nervous about getting injured that I’m feeling aches / niggles where there isn’t anything actually wrong.

Just looking for support and maybe a ‘yea me too!’ Or ‘that’s normal!’ Or ‘here’s what I tell myself when I do that’ - or even a ‘man, you’re psychotic as hell.’ I’ll take anything 😂

Gel recommendations - not ‘wobbly’ 💦

I’ve always been someone who said I ‘can’t eat’ when I run but I’m committed to training my gut so I can get fueling down. So far I’ve tried two gels - Huma and SiS.

Huma - love. Reminds me of those squeeze fruit packs kids eat. A bit on the sweet side and def need some water with it but 10/10 on taste and ingredients

SiS - I kept seeing people rave about these so gave them a whirl today. WHO WAS GOING TO WARN ME ABOUT THE CONSISTENCY?! I don’t know what I can say without getting this post removed but it has the wobbly consistency of a human fluid. I took one gulp and was about to barf.

Anyone else have issues with consistency? What are you using?

Lower calf pain - stopped in tracks

Went out for a 7 mile run with intervals. Had just finished the warm up and did two intervals and was stopped in my tracks by intense pain starting where my index finger is. Had to hobble - walk / jog / hobble 2.7 miles home and now icing.

Anyone know wtf this is and how to make it go away. I have a half marathon in 10 days…
