Hi guys, so I finally got a job and it starts on monday. The only thing is it requires safety shoes and I don't have money to pay for it right now let alone cover transport to get there until I get paid... I asked my caseworker if there was any benefits I could get to help me keep this job and get off OW but she said they don't provide employment benefits anymore? Is that true because I thought they did?
Hey everyone, I'm posting on behalf of my friend because he's been having the worst luck with his ontario works caseworker.
He's been trying to get in touch with his Ontario Works caseworker for over a month after she suddenly reduced the rent portion of his assistance without any explanation and he'sstarting a job but has no money to even get there let alone keep it. Since then, he's been calling almost every day, leaving voicemails, and sending messages, but she never responds.
Whenever he contacts the supervisor, they just tell him to keep trying to reach his caseworker instead of helping resolve the issue. Meanwhile, he's been left completely broke for about a month because of the unexplained cut and will probably not be able to start his job on monday.
Has anyone dealt with something similar? Is there any way to escalate this when both the caseworker and supervisor aren't helping? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've completed 3 surveys now and I got screened out right after I finish and they thank me for completing the whole survey. WTF is wrong w five surveys? They can't help at all and I just feel scammed of my time. That shit took like 2 hours just for them to screen out after completion. How is that fair ffs
